Name That Pet
Finding the perfect pet for your hunter is a big job, but even after you've tamed the beast you're still not done -- you need to find the perfect name!
Now I personally am not much good at naming pets, but I learned early on that the readers and commenters here at Mania's Arcania are excellent at it. So together we provide a service called "Name That Pet": you send me info about a pet that needs a name, I post the info you send me, and the Arcania community suggests names. You can pick the one that you like best, or ignore our suggestions and go your own way. But either way, all those suggestions do help get the creative juices flowing!
If you'd like to be featured in a Name That Pet post, please send me an e-mail that includes the following information:
- A screenshot of you and the pet together. Artistic shots are appreciated, but any screenshot will do. And don't worry about size -- I'll crop it to fit.
- A description of the kind of name you want: mythical, funny, serious, silly, lore, etc.
- A short description of either you and your character so that readers can suggest names that fit you better. For instance, what's your playstyle and personality like? Or if you roleplay, what kind of personality does your character have?
Please note: In order to give each post time to collect suggestions, I usually only run one or two Name That Pet posts a week. That means that if I am backlogged with requests, it may take me awhile to get yours posted.
I will do my best to keep in contact with you and let you know when your pet will be featured, but if I get really flooded that may slip. Feel free to e-mail me again and ask about the status of your request if you don't here from me for more than a week or two.
Also, if you find a name for your pet before your post goes up, please let me know!
