Today’s Name That Pet request comes from a lovely young Draenei hunter named Ninian.
My character’s name is Ninian. She tends to be the shy and quiet sort. Under the protection of her father, a master skinner, she traveled towards Ironforge in order to sell animal pelts. While traveling through the Wetlands her father was attacked by a small group of orcs. Ninian ran as her father held the group at bay.

Emerald raptors sure are popular! Today we have a request from a young Blood Elf hunter from Moon Guard named Kelanath Longtooth, who is looking for help naming his new raptor. Kelanath writes:
Kelanath, a square-peg of a young hunter on Moon Guard, has been talked into a raptor by his trollish significant other. Though he’s not sure about such a ’squishy’ pet (his previous ones have been an Enraged Ravager and a Silithid Creeper, both well-armored critters), he does bear a lot of respect for trolls, so he’s willing to give it a go.

You know what I like about these posts? Sometimes hunters send me elaborate stories about their new pets, and sometimes they send me only the most basic of requests. But you can tell that they all love their pets.
My toon’s name is Brutesy. I tend to be more in your face style fighting. I duel wield and I love to BG. I really like my wolf, and I cant figure out a name for him. I would like a funny or mythical pet name. Please help me. =(
We’ll see what we can do, if only to fix that sad frown at the end! So what do you think, everyone? What’s the perfect name for this wolf?
Today’s somewhat belated NTP is brought to you courtesy of Vongoul, a troll hunter from Darkspear who, like many of us, has more cats than names. Vongoul writes:
Hello there! I’m a Troll Hunter Named Vongoul, and I live on the PVP server Darkspear and I just tamed 2 new lovely and awesome pets. I always liked big cats, so all my pets are cats, and since I like to have unique special ones, I tamed as my main pet a Ghost Saber. And I just tamed Humar the Pridelord and King Bangalash also because they are so cool and gorgeous, but im having trouble finding the best names for them. I hope you guys can help me!

Today’s Name That Pet request comes from Casdia, a dwarf hunter from Stonemaul with a new and very special wind serpent pet.

My hunter Casdia is an ambitious dwarf on the Stonemaul realm. She has a love of all things rare and beautiful. Having recently released her faithful boar Giblet back into the wilds to roam, and finished training her beautiful, yet fierce red lynx to be a merciless fighter, she was looking for another beast to raise in her spare time. After some searching, she found herself in the wild land of Feralas, slaying the gentle sprite dragons in search of a phantom, the great Arash-ethis. However, after hours of looking, with the beast still eluded her grasp; she felt an inkling from afar. Another creature was calling her name. This creature, though just as rare, was younger, and more eager to join her.

Yossir is a frequent commenter here, so I look forward to seeing what you guys come up with as a name for his new bat.
Yossir writes:
Hi, I’m Yossir. I’m a Tauren hunter from the server Staghelm. A brief summary about me is that I love doing PvP, I don’t RP but I’ve got lore behind my character anyway, I take a lot of pride in being a survival hunter, and I don’t raid or run instances.

Crimsontusk, a troll hunter, sent me this eloquent plea for help naming his new cat, Rak’Shiri.
“I hunted her for days, crouched on a frozen hillside surrounded by a pride of cats that could easily dispatch me. I was beginning to grow weary of the Hunt and thought more than once that some things just aren’t meant to be.

And speaking of alts, today we have a request from a player who is leveling her fourth hunter, a Draenei with a penchant for white pets.
I recently rolled an alt in an attempt to revive my interest in World of Warcraft, which has become increasingly stale over the past few months. This isn’t the first time I’ve embarked on the path of the Hunter (Nirvana is my fourth), but I am determined to take it all the way to 70 this time =) That said, Nirvana has successfully brought back my passion for this game. I enjoy collecting the rare and the beautiful … namely, the white beasts of the world.

Petlover, an aptly-named level 70 Blood Elf from the Turalyon realm, is looking for help naming a nether ray. She writes:
As my name suggests I love pets of all sorts and sizes (excluding spiders, yuck). After reaching level 70, I took some serious time to consider the pets I would like to use. I typically prefer solo play, but I also do instances and am starting to get into raiding. I tamed one of the Dire Ravens in Blade’s Edge for my solo pet, and later was able to acquire a bat from karazhan for raiding and group work. But the third pet has always stumped me.
