Level 39 … er … 38! And 85! Again!

Margaret claims the entire cup of yogurt.Yesterday was my birthday. I am now 38 years old. I spent about half the day thinking I was 39 until I sat down and did the math. But this is still better than last year, when I spent several months thinking I was only 36 instead of 37. Regardless, I’m getting up there.

I spent yesterday reading (In the Blood by Adrian Phoenix), playing WoW, and napping. My big accomplishment of the day: I finally got a second character to max level. Yes, I now have both a Horde and Alliance main at level 85.

NaNoWriMo Update

A month back, I mentioned that I was participating in NaNoWriMo - National Novel Writing Month – this year. The goal of NaNoWriMo is to write a 50,000 word novel in one month.

I got less than halfway – 22,089 words. Now I have reasons: I got a late start, my insomnia went insane, our rat Margaret developed a tumor and had to have surgery (she’s doing well). And so on.

I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t do better, but regardless I am happy that I have a good set of characters and an interesting plot (I think) and I intend to continue writing this story. (Among other things, I bet Eric that I could write a book by the end of the year.)

NaNoWriMo

Greetings from NaNoWriMoSo. I appear to be participating in NaNoWriMo – or National Novel Writing Month – this year.

The basic idea behind NaNoWriMo is to write a 50k word novel during the month of November. Because so many people participate, it’s a great way to keep your enthusiasm up for at least an entire 30 days – which is actually plenty of time to get a (very rough) first draft done.

… Or so I am told. I’ve never managed it myself. Which is why I’m participating this year.
