Grats! I went with the Hive Controller for now until I can take some time to figure out how difficult it will be to get Lord Kri.
Of course, my first tame was Sapphire Hive Queen, then Hive Controller, and of course went and snagged Ashtail! LOVE Ashtail!!

i got lord kri and vem and princess yahj or w/e i had to get 4 others to help me because the first boss really is impossible to solo unless your nature resist capped
Grats! Hee hee. I’ve been doing nothing but taming all yesterday and had the best time. A friend and I played hunter all evening and admitted that even though not technically our mains, we considered them the most fun. Plus exploring and taming kinda go together. Now if I just had time to tweak and upload screenshots – I keep thinking “but I could be playing the game instead!”

I just tamed Harakiss the Infestor an hour ago as of this post.. any way I can post a pic up here? hehehe
lol, I just tamed here too…
On the contrary… I was able to solo Skeram finally. It is -not- easy, and you can expect to die many times. There are a few hunter videos up on Youtube that can give you an idea of how they’re able to pull it off. On the bright side, I’ve tamed the entire Silithid family. :) Kri is my favorite. <3

I actually swung by Tanaris to see if Ainamiss was around before heading up and taming the Hive Controller instead. I named him Carl ;)
I just tamed both Harakiss and Ainamiss at 2 pm on the Blade’s Edge EU server. /yay!
I got myself a Vem. And damn he’s (she?) is hard to tame. He kicks and stuns and when you are too close to the other bugs you may get feared. I began casting tame beast 9 times till I finally got lucky. But in retrospect it was fun. Pulling Vem around trying to get a feeling for when the next kick or stun comes, nearly dying because of falling damage (kick sends you very high if you manage to be in the “correct” part of the room). Also note: After you tame one of the three bugs the encounter cannot be finished, so just run out of the room. Shortly after, all three will respawn. So it is possible to tame several e.g. Lord Kris in the same week. (Unlike Chromaggus or Magmadar which are “gone” after taming.)
