Petopia has been updated for Patch 4.0.3 aka The Shattering.
I apologize to our EU readers, as well as to any US readers who intend to tame pets in the next 2 hours. If there is something specific you need to know about the pre-Shattering pets, please drop me an e-mail and I will dig up the info for you.
I really wanted to support both sets of data until the EU was up, but in the end I just ran out of time. (I knew my laziness would come back to bite me!)
And please let me know if you see any mistakes or incorrect or missing data. I know there’s plenty!
I have been waiting to see if I can get my white demon foxes be for cataclysm or not….so it is nice to have the update ^_^

You know the Silithid Swarmer that was supposed to turn into a silithid ant? Well, it happened… sort of.
Yes, my pet (still named Scorpid) is classified as a silithid. He summons like any other pet. Then, after a few seconds (the exact time varies), he… fades away and ceases to exist. I call Scorpid again, he appears as he should… then fades away again.
The ultimate vanity hunter pet. You can show it off, but can’t get it to do anything else before it disappears.
Cialbi: Make sure you are spec’d for exotics. Remember he’s a silithid now.
Thanks Mania. I really appreciate you and your sites. I got 25 tabards because of wow-tabards.com and 100 mounts because of warcraftmounts.com. I went for the tabards because the tabard that gets sent to your mail box really matched well with the hunter’s tier 10. The 100 mount award is meh. The only thing cool about the dragonhawk is the way it flies.
With regards to the black mastiff, there’s a bunch of neutral mobs roaming the Ruins of Gilneas (along with the Highlands Fox) called Gilnean Hounds. Tameable. Got one this afternoon along with the white fox.

My mistake – the hounds are colour changers. Hate that. Wanted a black mastiff and thought I’d gotten lucky.
