Crunch Time

I have, against all odds, agreed to crunch as part of my current contract. Yup, crunch time — working so many hours so close together that you can’t possibly do a good job. Just like a real game developer!

Unfortunately that means that between all my various projects I’ll be putting in something like 10-12 hours a day for the next ten days, with no breaks. I may have time to post if something big comes up, and then again I may not. And I almost certainly won’t have time to post for fun. *sigh*

On the other hand, I’ve started playing with Twitter (because it’s easier to justify a 15 second break to type 140 characters than it is an hour break to type up a good blog post — or even 15 minutes for a bad post). I don’t promise to say anything important there — in fact, I very nearly promise not to — but if for some reason you’d like to follow me on Twitter, feel free.

Good luck Mania you will pull though this, thanks for a quality site one of the few that I visit daily and comment on :)Real life always comes first so choose your deadline weapons: tea, coffee, or chocolate :P

The end credits of fable actually had what was consumed during the project hours. Most of it was chinese food.

Remember to try to keep a good diet during your crunch!~

Kitairra: Not a fail. :> I tend to remove comments that say ‘First!’ and nothing else.

Heh, I wondered what happened to all of those. They were starting to crop up pretty bad for a while there.

Wonder if I’d get in trouble if I said “Nineth!”

Well I’ll be the last to begrudge you some time to work on some stuff. Lord knows you do plenty for us, free of charge I might add.

Mania, I avoid most other forums like the plague because of all the bull#*#* people are always posting. What you do here is a breath of fresh air from all that crap. Yours is the site I always check first, anyday, even if I lvld my first character, obviously a hunter. And now that I have a couple of alts of different classes, thats still the case.

You rock, girl. Do whatever you have to do. We’ll be waiting right here for you :)

If some of you aren’t following her on Twitter, she has heard word of a tameable purple spider in ten man Naxx. If anyone with a little spare stable space and access to the run could tame it for her and send her a picture, that’d be lovely.

Without Mania I’d not have my ghost hydra, and not have the perfect blood elf pet (aka rak’shiri/shy’rotam model with green eyes). Her info and the links she posted to various helpful sights means I have all 3 spirit beasts, and though I am short on stable slots, I couldn’t be happier. We should help Mania as much as possible, IE: what Palladiarnors said, helping her with information, etc. She deserves every good fortune she gets, and I’m sure i speak for all hunters when i say, thank you Mania!

I did some very short tip toes into naxx 10 reg last night and each creeper I’ve foudn is still an 81 elite. My rogue buddy did some scouting round inside and same deal. None under 81. Either the bugger is way deep in there or just very rare and needs to be reset many times before it’s found…

It’s also brewfest, so drunkenness abound… Would be damn nice to have a purple spider though just for fun.

Almost there Mania – just a couple more days to go!

  16. Mania - October 1st, 2009 @ 2:57 pm UTC

    Thanks, Nimizar!

Actually, we ‘officially’ ended crunch a early, on Tuesday, but I spent the extra time cleaning up loose ends for another 10 hours a day, so it wasn’t all that useful. But I put my foot down today — I am taking today off. And tomorrow I should be back on a normal schedule.

Unfortunately I have no idea on how to start catching up on everything I missed in the meantime …
