(Sometimes when I am killing Chillmaw for my Argent Tournament dailies, I send my slime after the dragon and shout, “Slime … A-WAY!” It amuses me to no end.)
Ironically, I am leaving in just a few hours (early early Sunday morning) to fly to California — two days late for BlizzCon but just in time to ramp up for a major new contract my husband and I are taking. And we’re headed to San Francisco anyway, not Orange County, but it’s still ironic.
I’ll be gone most of the week. I’ll have my laptop with me, so theoretically I can keep up with news and whatnot, but I’m also supposed to be concentrating on work so we can impress these people and get the job done. (Well, get the ramp up done. If all goes well this contract will stretch over several months.) So I may not be posting all that much. I’m also going to be slow (slower!) answering mail for the week.
I had wanted to get a post up that recaps the hunter-specific news from BlizzCon, including new pet speculation, and maybe another looking at pets and pet skins that may be in danger when the world shatters. I’ll get to those if I can, but it likely won’t be real soon. In the meantime, you can join the conversations in progress on the comments of any of the posts below, or over on the Arcania forums.
And I’ll be back as soon as I can. :>

Oh! And I believe the Ghost Saber will be a casualty of Deathwing. I plan on having her on my Draenai hunter soon. (Just need to get her one more level..lol)

Good luck with the contract, we’ll miss you if your busy for the next several months but then again, even mania needs money =P. and to kitairra, i think if the ghost saber does indeed go away, i will actualy be happy, on my hunter, i have had one since level 30ish. now at 80 i see all these other 80s with level 75 ghost sabers and its like everyone has one. takes away the originality i used to have.
I’ve got a question about a beast and whether or not it is tameable. I can’t find it under tameable or nontameable. King Ping, a rare spawn (penguin) in howling fjord

Something interesting Mania, and everyone else interested in mini-pets, a mini-Panderan has been added into the game files, Lil K.T. Interesting, to say the least, since I was under the impression that Panderan and China didn’t mix.

On my realm it’s the exact opposite….I’ve seen TWO Ghost Sabers in the last six months. Both on Orc hunters in Dalaran. >.<
I have a feeling that after more people know about Auberdine being flooded,there's going to be Ghost Saber's everywhere. But that's a good thing…right?!

Well on my Server, it seems that any uncommon cat skin is, well uncommon, there are nigh a ghost saber to be seen, I think im the only one with the blue Tiger, I have seen ONE purple tiger in the past few months, nor have i ever seen a lynx except back when i had one, and even the Glowing-eyed kitties from NR seem to be buh-bye… i usually see the white spotted kitties, or the black ones with stripes… but, then again it really depends on personal preference i guess…
Oh, and i love the random smileys… Failblog uses them and have always loved them, one problem tho is will those who use other sig pix be able to use them?

Anyway, if you use a Gravatar picture it will still show up as normal. It’s only if you don’t have an avatar pic that the site generates a little monster for you.

♠ I’d be very happy to see a list on what’s not likely to survive the expansion. I don’t care for rare pets, just interested in grabbing anything cool that I might miss later. Though I don’t feel like changing my ferocity owl or ghost worm… The rest of the slots are fair game for trial runs.
² Unless I finally decide to keep Kurken or not. If they’d make a normal wolf as regal looking as him it’d make my mind up in a hurry, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon. Blizz seems to be putting their wolves on some skin and bones diet lately…
But that’s why my druid see’s more action. At least they get some cool looks to choose from.

I abandoned Loque because I found him on accident anyways while hunting for King krush. Also I’m tauren, cats are jsut too small next to me for my taste. I need larger pets, hence the jormunger and king krush, Skoll is a good size sitting next to me.

So, I was reading the RFC for chimera, when it hit me. CHIMERA as a flying mount, or regular mount, for worgen!They’d have to be a bit smaller or their wingspan clipped a bit, but they’d be as annoying as the average elekk. They could scale and work like the horsemen, even; flying in Outlands, Northrend, and walking/gliding in Azeroth….and they’d have the little glide like the hippogryphs do.

Though I would like to ride a chimera, I would prefer a bat. Mainly because they have been used as taxis, and aslo then that way, since horde can get hippogryffs (an alliance FP taxi) alliance could get a horde taxi possibly.
Horde can get Cenerion Hippogryph, as well as Argent one. The Cenerion is same skin as ours. HOWEVER, we have no bat mounts. Then again, I don’t like the bats; I’d prefer wyverns.
I’d love a bat mount! of course it would fly like a normal bat, but on the ground it could run around similar to a protodrake. They would just have to make the legs a little longer is all. Or use the wings as legs. Either way, I want a bat!
More than anything, I want a wyvern for alliance. They’re pretty much my favorite flyer, yet all I can do is stare jealously at passing horde, while I glare in contempt at Alliance gryphons
I find the snowy armored grypohn is my favorite gryphon, and second favorite mount. (Bronze and red drakes hold first in favorites.)
