Beware the First of April

Just a quick service announcement: As you’ve probably noticed, today is April 1st, colloquially known as April Fools.

Do not believe anything you read on the internet today.

But do feel free to link any interesting April Fools items you run across in the comments.

(Aside: In addition, today is also the third anniversary of my second (and current) marriage. In honor of that fact, Eric and I added a new action item to our task list at today’s scrum: Anniverse. No word yet on what that actually means.)

    But yes, my husband and I eloped to Las Vegas a few years back with our shared best man, Todd. We got the license after midnight and were married sometime around 3am on April 1st. The date was important to me, although the marriage was rather a formality. (We wed primarily for the health insurance. We’ve been together since … lessee … 1999.)

    Pimp My Mount is a little cooler, but it’s a tough call. Warcraftpets.com had a pretty funny April Fools joke, too.

  14. The regular WoW site has a PvP Dance Battle announcement on it. It’s pretty good, if you ask me. The “Mesh Shirt of Inappropriateness” is especially funny. Because really, when is mesh ever appropriate?

    And today the only one that got me was the ‘trick’ my ride one that Blizz did, I actually thought it was real- I had forgotten what today was, and thought it was real.

    I had a real laugh and Aria and I both wished it was real- I would love to do something with a kodo to make the big bulky rhinos a bit more loveable in my eyes.

    Compared to the one that happened on Youtube for me- everything went upside down including a vid I was watching and it hurt my eyes e.e

    And grats on the anniversery Mania, and many thanks for not falling into the pit off pranks on us- I’ve experienced enough about Pokemon [yes I play the games occasionally 8D] and it annoys me when people think it’s funny to make up rumors and lie and get peoples hopes up in that way..

    Ok Pmp my Mount fools was basically the same but it’s different, it was quite funny imo.

  21. Yea – I actually think a PVP Dance-competition thing would be totally fun and cool (and definitely innovative lol). Too bad for me :(. Oh well maybe one day we’ll have the dance studios in finally :).

  22. Its a shame the April Fools items weren’t real…now I totally want a Mesh Shirt of Inappropriateness, Codpiece of Assertiveness for my character and a Soul Train mount for my hom–err, guildies.

    Damn you Blizzard, damn you.

    (Although when I first saw the item “Soul Train” I thought for some reason it should be non combat pet, like the toy train you can buy in Dalaran, but instead of everyone nearbye going “choochoo” the item would force everyone to dance instead!)
