Patch 3.1.2 — a minor patch whose biggest claim to fame is new Argent Tournament mounts and the postponed Equipment Manager — has been pushed to the US Public Test Realm today.
The notes that download with this patch have only two small items for hunters, under Bug Fixes:
Child’s Play is a gamer-based charity that collects donations of toys, games, books and cash for sick kids in children’s hospitals across North America and the world.
Children’s Week is an in-game event in which the heroes of both the Horde and the Alliance lavish time and attention on the orphans of war.
Brigwyn at The Hunting Lodge is bringing these two child-oriented events together in a very special charity auction.

Based on your advice and recommendations, I .. err .. went on a bit of a spending spree. What I bought was shaped by your thoughts, by my searches on the Armory and Wowhead, and ultimately by what was available on the Auction House when I went looking.
It looks like we might be getting a small client patch tomorrow morning — and if we do, Blizzard says our talents will be reset again to help fix some of the many talent weirdnesses that have been happening.
[edit] We did get a patch this morning. Minuscule patch notes can be found on the forums this time, but there’s nothing of real interest (although I am hoping the GeForce fix helps me not crash twice an hour.) [/edit]
Earlier this week I spent some time thinking about how to get Mania ‘set up properly’ — where that means improving my glyphs, gear and whatnot, but only so far as it’s easy and convenient. Today I took a first look at upgrading my equipment.
By the way, you’ll notice that I only really looked at pre-Patch 3.1 equipment even though Patch 3.1 just came out. I felt more comfortable focusing on the older stuff because 1) I’m never setting foot in Ulduar myself and 2) if there’s any sexy new BoE gear it will undoubtedly be too expensive for me in the near future.
