In the latest version of the patch notes for Patch 3.1, current on the Public Test Realms, Blizzard mentioned that:
Turtles and Crabs now dwell in waters of and off Eversong and the Ghostlands, giving Blood Elf hunters access to local Tenacity pets.
So of course I went out as soon as I could to see what they’d added.
The Public Test Realm (PTR) updated today with a new build — build 9658 — and in addition Blizzard updated the PTR patch notes. These events so very rarely happen in tandem … it feels very special when they do!
So what did we get with this build? Let’s see. (Oh, and keep in mind that I am trying to just highlight the new changes. You should take a look at the official patch notes page for the whole list.)

I found some time this evening to tame myself a level 80 dragonhawk and wolf to match my level 80 “crocolisk” and compared all their stats, with me buck naked and both me and the pets completely untalented.
(Hurray for the equipment manager and dual specs! They make it quick and easy for me to strip clothes and talents both. Now if only I could respec my pets anywhere …)
A new Public Test Realm build snuck up on me today, but as soon as I freed myself from the sticky bonds of Java I headed over to take a look. (… And immediately exclaimed “Why am I shirtless?!” at the character loading screen. For some reason my sexy new Undercity shirt doesn’t show up there. But thankfully I am still clothed in game.)
So what changed in this build? Well, it looks like the updated patch notes we saw on the WoW website last week are now in place.
