Finally, we have crabs — or possibly crab. Although Petopia lists two level 19 crabs, I’ve recently gotten a couple of reports that the Silithid Protector can no longer be tamed. I haven’t had a chance to confirm yet, but if this is accurate then we are left with only one level 19 crab, the Clattering Crawler from Ashenvale. Crabs’ family skill “in” Pin, an interesting channeled attack that immobilizes the target for 4 seconds.

The boar won’t work like it used to in 19 bracket. Charge is no longer a boar skill and is bought in the pet talent trees. You get your first pet skill point @ 20. Seriously go with spider or hyena. The only skills you’ll have on pets @ 19 are ones they come with.

Although, i fell for the ravager, from azuremyst isle.
Good damage, and a cheeky little stun, is good for defence, and casters (polly + fears especially) :)

I would go for a boar, they have good xp and deal good dmg. Plus at lvl 16-17, you can go to Lock Modan and get the Elder Mountain Boar. If you read above boars get charge, and he Elder Mountain Boar has rank 2 Charge and Rank 2 or 3 Gorge. I think that will be far better than the scorpid when trying to chase down Flag runners.

Im thinking of making a hunter twink at 19, im thinking of getting a spider, hyena and a scorpid i think, is there somethin i should have instead of a scorpid??

I think I found my answer:

Your pet charges an enemy, immobilizing the target for 1 sec, and increasing the pet’s melee attack power by 25% for its next attack.

So this isnt a 3-4 second stun but for those flag runners that are off in the distance that you cant catch letting loose your Boar will chargen when in range and allow you to catch up with a concusion shot. This is a winner in my book.

I actually made a lvl 19 twink a while back and it seemed to me (things may have changed now) that the Elder Mountian Boar lvl 17-19 : Loch Modan, was a very good choice for a BG pet. If I remember correctly they have a charge ablility that also stuns a target for 3-4 secs, is this not true anymore? I curious becuase when I made my twink it was on a friends account and now that I have my Account on again I am making a new Twink. I would like to get a good pet again and that specific boar was the only boar that had the charge/stun ability. Please let me know.

I have to aggre with Hoss about the Scorpid as when my twink was in the 10-19 breaket she used the mace witch applied the poision and that messes up lots of people who GY camp and they freeked out why their health was burning after i had died then resed and comeback kicking. but other than maby saying DoTs are always good anti-rogue wepons i can’t help as my twink is a rogue (wasn’t atully twinked but took out most other twinks)
