im updating this post,

the cool sholozar quest mobs that think they are crocolisk’s are no longer tamable.
Sadly the ghost worm has lost his ghostly aura.
king dred from Hdtk is lvl 82 and cannot be tamed because you cant tame anything higher lvl then you are.

BUUUUUT, I have some good news also.
There are green and purple raptors in dtk that are tamable and lvl 80-81.
so if they all spawn lvl 81 your s.o.l but most likely they wont.

are the spirit wolves near the ruins in crystalsong forest tamable? they hang out with the ghostly night elves, also found in the ruins.

I got a ghost worm!

You don’t need to be level 80 to tame one of them, or even have your rep grinded up with Sons of Hodir. You just need to find someone else who has the rep grinded up already and can get the daily quest, and is willing to let you tag along while they do it.

I managed to tame my see through worm with the help of a guildie. He picked up the “Feeding Argrim” daily quest, and then I followed him around (since I don’t have the rep yet with them to do it myself). There are level 79-80 worms in the area. He targeted one of the level 79 worms (since my hunter is only level 79), and I waited for it to become ghostly. After it became see-thru, I laid down a trap and tame with no problems.

And I forgot to tell you that only the Normal Version which is level 75 ELite can currently be tamed.

Like all Heroic Bosses King Dred is just a Level 82 ELite and not a ?? BOSS

Mine is currently named ‘TranqThis’ but I will be changing it. Now, if there was a way to change the coloration of your pets, I’d make it green with reddish highlights and the name would truly fight then. :)

I’m still pretty sure there was more than 5 level 70 families at BC release :) Also, 2 of those are only open to BM’s with the 51-pointer, so SV and MM only have 1 choice of family in each tree. I’m sure more will come as well tho.

Well, the number of families expanded quite a bit, so half is rather more than it used to be. :> But keep in mind that we saw a number of families get their level 70 members in content patches, and we haven’t had any of those yet. I’m sure they’ll come.
