Apparently Beta is Over
Blizzard Poster Crygil posted a short note on the beta forums just a bit ago:
We would like to thank everyone who has participated in the Wrath of the Lich King beta test. We greatly appreciate all of the feedback and you have given us during this critical phase of World of Warcraft’s development. In preparation for the launch of the game next Thursday, November 13, we will be bringing down our beta realms at 12:00 AM PST. Thanks again, and see you soon in Northrend!
As I type this, it is after midnight PST and the beta realms are still up, but I don’t expect that situation to last much longer. So I have reluctantly said goodbye to my test bed and started frantically wishing I’d done more pet testing the past week instead of messing about with Hallow’s End content. Ah, well. I’ll just have to do my testing on live, I suppose.

Don’t worry, mania. Hallow’s End isn’t here for another year, pets are.
I’m hyped! When 3.03 goes live I won’t have to keep turning Bite on and off because my Chimera’s Froststorm breath will be cheaper (therefore getting priority).
And super hyped about next thursday !!!
I thought GC promised us they will add more pet family’s in time, were are we going to test them?
Yeah, I was a bit surprised, though I suppose I shouldn’t have been since there was no point in leaving the servers up with patch 3.0.3 going live. Fortunately, they were still up and running when I woke up this morning, so I was able to get a few last keepsake screenshots before my Death Knight went poof.
Don’t be to hard on yourself, my dear. We have to mix “fun with not fun” at times. :)
I found it truly amazing on how all the problems I was having with beta(memory of all things) are not there with all of these patches. Glad I made my screen shots back then :)
No worries, Mania; there’s going to be more pet changes forthcoming anyway, so any extra info you might have picked up could be rendered obsolete by the time LK comes out. Heck, look at all the focus cost changes in the current patch.
And like was already said earlier, pets will be here, Halloween won’t (for another year).
It’s been said before,but can we please stop with the “First Post” nonsense? It wasn’t amusing on the Oboards,and its even less amusing here.I’m not trying to be mean,really I’m not,but there’s just no reason for it.
Can’t wait to hit Northrend! Rhino is top priority.Then I guess I’ll start to…

Gah! Stop with the “First!” posts. It’s childish and annoying. Not amusing on forums, not amusing here.
On topic though, Oh man with beta down, that means Wraths almost here!!! *tweak out*
why do people get so annoyed by the FIRST thing? if they just say “first” then that’s stupid but if they said something else they’re just celebrating that they are the first to put an idea into the forum. lay off ‘em i say.
I am soooo not looking forward t leveling to 80.
The servers are still up, I’m playing my dk as I write this. I dunno, but having the beta gone will save close to 10g of space, so I’m not too sad, though my epic flyer will be missed

Boarwood: People get annoyed because the “first” thing is the crap people pull on the WoW official forums. So when they say forums, they don’t mean Mania’s, they mean WoW’s. In WoW’s official forum “first” post has power because the Community MVP’s are selected usually by those who respond quickest and best to a situation posted. Here, it is just annoying, and people are not doing it on Mania’s blog for any other reason other than ‘Yay I’m first! Oh and here’s my comment”. It’s no surprise some players like me do get rather annoyed, and yes, we will say something.

During the last day of the EU beta, I finally managed to get Loque’nahak. What I great looking unique pet with a fantastic sound and skill (like the druid’s Moonfire). Now all I’m missing is a roar sound when it yawns (like Humar the Pridelord etc.) ^^
You should have done more pet things, yes. :-P…
