So What’s the News?
Some of you may have noticed that I haven’t been posting a lot of exciting news lately. (Some of you have even e-mailed me to see what’s up.)
There’s a couple of things going on here, none of which are really interesting to anyone except me:
- I’ve been slacking. Mostly this involves chasing down Hallow’s End achievements for Mania and Kaet, but it also involves some Sue Grafton
.
- I’ve been spending time with my husband. This mostly involves his new Recruit-A-Friend rogue and my new dwarven hunter. I know that many people are hesitant about the Recruit-A-Friend program, but anything that allows me to get Eric playing WoW instead of EQ2 is a win in my book. (I have nothing against EQ2, but I’m getting sick of domestic disputes about which game is more casual-friendly.)
- I’ve been working with the artist on the 2009 Petopia calendar. This one will have 12 full months of original art, no screenshots. I’ll have more info on this soon.
- I’ve been working on Warcraft Mounts. Poor site feels like a red-headed stepchild after all the work I put into Petopia over the last few months. Unfortunately this has been going really slowly, mostly due to #1 and #2 above.
In the meantime, the community over on the forums is thriving, so if you get bored waiting for me you can always swing by there!

A Petopia Calendar! I like. :D
This is one of those times I gotta say Mania thank you for all you do for the WoW community. Petopia has become a staple of the hunter crowd. /hugz
That all sounds great! a Pet Calendar will be awesome and The update on the Mounts Let me see what the Black War Bear so I could attempt to raid Ogrimmar and Fail :P
I can’t wait to see the Petopia calendar! The Recruit-a-friend thing is really great. I’m doing it with my father-in-law right now. He’s played longer than me, but he was playing alliance on one server while I was horde on another. He has a couple of brothers that used to play, but since they’ve rarely been on, he’s gotten…lonely. So my husband talked him into getting another acount and coming to my server…and Selesti has her a nice Zhevra while my new druid is powerleveling with his paladin.
Yeah, I like that program too. My husband and I are powerleveling a couple of healers for our guild and my little feral druid got herself a zhevra mount :o)
I was wondering what was up, I was starting to miss ya Mania!! Good to know everything is alright :o)
Unfortunately everyone I know is already playing WoW except my brother, & he doesn’t have a PC so he’s out. I made a second account for myself & am learning to dual-box hehe. My rogue is happily running around on his zhevra, and I have 2 baby hunters in their early 20s now. :D

Im getting a bit worryed about the new pets/familys GC promised us ( well not exactly promised but he did say they will continue to add more), WOTLK is comeing in 2 weeks and im getting worryed about it.
Heya Mania, I’ve only read a few Sue Graftons. But I liked ‘em. I have read and own everything by Lawrance Block and John Sandford, have you tried either of those?
You make it sound like a sin to have some quality time to yourself and with the hubby :P Good luck with the mount project and calendar, and take some time to enjoy yourself!
I know this may be off topic,but is anyone else have a problem with multi shot triggering aimed shot cooldown when used and vise versa? Also so far scorpid pet seems to get the job done for us hunters atm, just about all my hunter friends that ask me what pet to get for pvp purposes say its an awesome pet, roar of sacrifice has saved them so much against melee attackers, also scorpid poison seems to tick for 340+ dmg at 5 stack
