BRK and Mania’s Midnight WotLK Madness
I managed to make it down to my neighborhood Game Stop today to pre-order Wrath of the Lich King. And they will indeed be having a midnight pick-up thing at this location. So I am happy to confirm my participation in:

- Place: GameStop in Waterford Lakes, Orlando
As BRK says:

Nevertheless we will both be there and we’ll be absolutely thrilled to hear from anyone who has any idea who we are. *grin* So if you are in the area, please feel free to join us!

I’ll be there. As I said on BRK’s blog, I’ll have to come up with some way to entertain the masses.
Amongs ALL the midnight raiders *someone* has to have a laptop with wireless and a camera, no? Live Blog from the Line.
My mom lives (more or less) in the area and would let me borrow her car for something like this if I was visiting, but she has this silly notion that visits to her should involve going out and doing stuff and socializing and I’d get hardly any time to play Wrath and that just wouldn’t be acceptable. :-P Wrath deserves my undivided attention for a while after release, and Mom doesn’t deserve to have to fight against it. Chalk me up for another “in spirit” there. lol
Man, Orlando is too far for me to travel. Not terrible, but I’d have to drive for HOURS to get there. I’ll be getting my WotLK (hopefully Collector’s Edition) at my local store.
You know I live over in Tampa and I think I might just be crazy enough to take a trip over to see what the party is like. :D
I hope the Game Stop that I pre-ordered “Wrath” will do a Midnight release. They did do a Midnight release for “Burning Crusade”. 1 of the 2 guys said they likely will. ^_^ Speaking of which, we need to go there again, some time, and pre-order 2 games. 2 separate games to “flag” both accounts. Maybe next week, when the new “Indiana Jones” movie comes out (on D.V.D.).
Hey can I already ordered my CE but i got it for shipping anyone know if i can still pick it up at my local gamestop?

I’ll be there in spirit since I’m all the way in California. but, if any of my fellow Californians are nearby, you can meet me (oh yeah that’s not nearly as cool as Mania or BRK, I know, but I want to meet peeps!) at the Ontario Mills EBgames in Ontario California.
I loved how my EBgames manager put it.

Orlando’s a tad too far from Budapest for an overnight visit, so I’ll pass. Mania, I hope your venue has a T1 internet connection, because if you’re actually hoping to PLAY the game at the event, you’re all going to have to wait for the update to download – and it’s not going to be small. You may need to organise something else to do while you wait.

I’d totally come if there was like a system of portals at every store doing a midnight release, but I don’t think that’s quite possible, yet.

Apparently I fail at talking the family into going and visiting my inlaws in Orlando. Something silly about “costing way too much money” and “taking kids out of school” possibly even “you have no vacation left”

Maybe I’ll come hang out. I live in Lakeland so im litterally 20 – 30 minutes away. I go to the Pleasure Island area all the time for the Virgin Mega Store.

And a question: I keep hearing people say they already ordered their Collector’s Edition, but my local EB-Games says that they can’t guarantee I get the Collector’s Editiodn, so question is, how do I get it?

Down in Sunny San Diego, we have two Gamestops right across the street from one another. I don’t think they’re doing the midnight thing though =(

If everyone else has a Mignight Launch to go to, we should take this a step further me thinks. Take pictures of your midnight launch (or playing WoW on midnight launch night for the camera shy peeps) and share it in the forums. I think it’d be a cool way to be “there in spirit” if all the Petopia share their midnight launch adventures, be it in-game or outside. =D

Rikaku: I think that’s an excellent idea! I just hope someone else brings a camera, because I don’t know where mine is. (Still packed, I assume.)
I’m gonna be in the Midnight line (really hopeful for that!), for a local Game Stop, at the Santa Anita mall near the Santa Anita race tracks.
I’ll have my camera I’m sure.. I’ll also have my laptop,etc.. Not really sure how I am going to record the audio just yet.. Maybe leave voicemails for us… Hmm..
