Humar sure is one popular cat! Today we have a Name That Pet request from a Draenei hunter who has just tamed Humar (again!). Atayah writes:
Atayah was my huntress in Furcadia. I used her personality to make my Horde huntress Nightwill, and now I’ve made her again as a Draenei. I had to go for Humar again ’cause I just love his look but I found myself wanting a new name.
So I’m slowly catching up with the pet news from beta build 8962 (which I barely got to see) and 8970 (which I missed entirely).
There are a lot of exciting and interesting changes, no doubt.
But my favorite change by far? No more pets with inferior caster stats!

Today’s Name That Pet request comes from Tyrmak, an orc hunter with an eye for matching armor.
I’m Tyrmak, an Orc hunter and this evening I tamed myself a wind serpent to fit in with my newly acquired ‘old’ set of Tier 6, namely the 5 pieces from Mount Hyjal and Black Temple.
Evara has found the first confirmed example of the new exotic Spirit beast family!
The beast is Loque’nahak, a rare level 76 that Evara found in Sholazar Basin, southwest of Nessingwary Base Camp. The model matches the new cat-like model we’ve heard described: a snow leopard-like cat with glowing blue eyes. Beast Lore on the untamed beast describes it as an Exotic pet. And when tamed, the beast’s name becomes “Spirit Beast”.
