Zalmoxis is the Thracian word for hide. Most BM hunters I know including myself have prowl and in a RP setting it would make for an interesting name in that in it prowl mode it could be said to be hiding and waiting for the first attack. You could also look for other Thracian words like for shadow since you solo a lot you pet would be your shadow so to speak.

Thank you Amaryllis!

I looked up Sekhmet and found she had a Greek version of her name.
Now Greek isn't Thracian,but it's close enough.So that is what I named her.Sacmis.

I would like to thank everyone who made suggestions. Many great names were put forth, and myth?My sister named her irl kitten Amadocus after seeing your post.I thought you might like to know.:)

Bast or Bastet
Sekhmet

Both egyptian goddesses, both associated with cats, both depicted with cat heads, both seen as defenders of the pharoahs. Bast however became the more gentle, the more domesticated of the two (mainly because lower eqypt was conquered by upper eqypt and Sekhmet replaced her as a warrior goddess).

Based on your post, personally i would go for Sekhmet. The tough warrior goddess goes better with the idea of a hunter soloing everything. Although both have fairly aggressive names, Bast meaning "devourer" and Sekhmet "(One) Before Whom Evil Trembles, the Mistress of Dread, and the Lady of Slaughter."
