One mildly amusing bit with the exotic pets is that when you first log in, they're often their pre-taming size for a second or two before shrinking down to their normal (but still quite big) pet size.

So I happen to know that the first floor of a gnomish inn comes up to somewhere around Tyrantus's hip bone :)

As far as i know, they shrink. They dont stay big as a building or tree in darnassus. But they're still bigger than many other hunter pets. From screenshots I've seen, they are taller than the player characters by a bit. But hey, last I knew, they make a loud stompy noise when they walk! :)

Well for one Christy, keep in mind that trolls hunch over, so that they aren't much bigger then a human. For another, the devilsaur was still much taller then the core hound. The hound just a ton more substance. That being said, I have no idea, and haven't heard one way or the other if they have been shrunk or not.

I'm the other way around. I've no urge for the orange (( and apperently harder to get)) Core hound. I'll be going for the neon green myself. But then I love green and he's perfect for my green orc, who has a green Ravager and a green outlands spiky raptor. The green two headed dragondog will fit right in, in the stable. Now if we can just keep him from eating the other pets. Mmmmm Maybe a few gnome snacks now and then....

I know a lot of people that are planning on getting an MC hound - but since beta means you can't keep anything you work for, everyone usually focuses more on just testing the pet, seeing if everything works, that sort of thing. (I've already been volunteering my druid for MC Taming Parties when the patch goes live.) And I really like the orangey MC hound over the neon green one. The one thing I'll say that's a big plus for Kurken is that his flame/aura/smoke/whatever you call it that trails after the hound - is whiteish and almost transparent. Which will be nice if you're not into having that effect trailing all over the place. I'm not as into the neon green flame/smoke - but I do like the MC hound's orange effects.

Meanwhile the Death Knights are too cool. We're going to be knee deep in them, and it will make us all crazy because they'll be all over the place. But at the same time I'm going to encourage everyone to try the class just because the start zone quests are too much fun to miss.

My father-in-law got a beta key for Warhammer online and gave it to my husband and I. It's really fun, but there are still bugs and crashes. I have a White Lion, and the war lion is awesome. It even changes colors each time it's summoned. Haven't tried a squig herder yet...

Huh, I could have sworn I remembered early closed beta people talking about it.... oh well. But thats the squig herder, not the white lion though, Infares. But I do have to agree with you, although it is probably just from years of playing WoW and only playing WAR on laggy servers for short periods of time. WAR has the potential to get you uber attached to one pet, much the way many of us find one pet that absolutely screams out to us or our characters, and keep it forever. That being said, I definitely don't see it being for everyone. The RvR or PvP emphasis will turn many people off, though the PvE content is fun in and of itself. That, however, is a potential problem I see with it. I nearly enjoyed the public quests more then I enjoyed the RvR.
