I third Morla. I had a yellow shelled turtle back in the day, and he was named Tonka, which I liked too.

A Hunterfriend from my Guild suggested “Kame” which is Japanese for Turtle.
His Warrior has that name.

It´s a hard decision you posted a lot of great names here.
I will wait at least till next friday before naming my Turtle.

My current favourits are Kame, Chelys, Chelydra and Guixxian.

Call it Giano. He is the keeper of every begin in the old mitology of Rome. He keeps also doors, gates, passage.. So he’s the guardian of material begin and immaterial begin, like the start of life.

Geochelone, the genus that includes Galapagos Giants.
Pangu, who was aided in the creation of the world by a turtle (among three other animals)
Bakonawa, a sea serpent who’s sister was a sea turtle. She was killed by villagers, and Bakonawa disappeared forever. Maybe he came back in a new form, the form of a turtle?
