As I type this, the Wrath of the Lich King beta realms are down and being updated with a new beta build: 3.0.2.8885. And I am busy downloading all 458MB of the client patch. As usual, I will be live-blogging this build as I check it out, although I may have to stop early.

I was lethargically browsing MMO Champion this evening when something about Acid Spit (the worm ability) caught my eye. Turns out Blizzard posted a long informational post today about some changes they will be making in Patch 3.0 to buffs and debuffs and how they stack.

Although the rain has mostly stopped here in Central Florida, I myself am unfortunately feeling under the weather. Rhinos don’t have a family skill yet, I posted just after this last beta build, but Glassdragon contacted me today to let me know that I might be wrong. He noticed that the Shardhorn Rhinos of Sholazar Basin have a skill called Rhino Charge … briefly, at least.

Blizzard announced today that, much as they released Patch 2.0 for all players shortly before Burning Crusade was available for purchase and play, they will be launching what they call a content patch containing many of the game-wide changes from Wrath of the Lich King before Wrath of the Lich King is actually available.

Okay! I finally got all the pet talent changes for build 8820 uploaded to Petopia. Like pet skills, a number of talents had their focus costs reduced or removed. I wanted to get this done so that we can look at the focus changes across the board as a consistent whole.

Of course, there are quite likely quite a few more things to discover about this new beta build. So if you see something I’ve missed, please let me know!
