I had a group once where everyone chose chaos over order. Lets let all the mobs run everywhere! Yay! Well we wiped I think 4 times keep in mind this was SFK. Now most people didn’t know how to play their class at such a low level but I was suprised by how much everyone thought the mobs got to do whatever they wanted!

In BF, wondering what the strange caged orcs where for, I wandered up to one. (Note that my group was in mid-battle.) So of course the cage opens, lets out a wave of orcs, and sets a chain reaction of cages along the walls opening and spewing out orcs.. We barely survived, we started healing up, then the BOSS decided that he wanted to join the fun right after the last orcs where killed. Ooops.

Also in Bot, on my feral druid.. Kitty bleeds can be killers, seriously. ‘Nuff said.

Over all, big oops.

Mania, I think I totally get it – as I said I’ve been responsible for my share… The trick is to find a group that doesn’t chew you out *when* it happens. I had a tankadin pull mobs continuously when the dps was oom, then blamed us for not being able to play our class. Apparently, being a hunter in an instance means *not* using your mana?? >_>

Anyway, if you’re in a good group people will laugh and get over it when there’s a wipe, like Palla said – no matter who’s to blame. It’s just very hard to find those groups, so for now I’d rather not.

UU (United Underworld) was my old guild made of friends. If you couldn’t tell, those are all things that had happened during guild UBRS runs. Repeatedly.

Incidentally, I’m not sure I was clear enough: I prefer to solo because otherwise I am the bad player that is doing those stupid things and getting yelled at. :>

Heh, PuGs are hit or miss. Personally I hate them anymore. There was a time, two years ago, when my paladin could make a pug in ten minutes, and make it work. Everyone had fun, pass or fail, except for the few grumps who didn’t know how to relax. I guess it must have been two and a half, now that I think on it, since I used to do Stratholme with a five man before they cut it down to that…. *Laughs*

Now days though, you always have at least one, usually two people per group with sticks stuck so far up their rear that ANYTHING sets them off. This is usually followed by either a lack of skill, lack of maturity, or I dunno, their mother not hugging them enough. Combine that with everyone screaming a need for certain requirements for instances ((“OMG, u dn’t hve 1800 +healing? GTFO!!!)) and it just makes for more of a pain in the rear then anything else. I actually had a GOOD heroic group the other day, and it helped me remember why I used to love instances.

Here is to hoping that one day, the general maturity level in WoW rises.

I agree with you batgrl, wiping doesn’t have to be a bad experience. My problem is that I’ve mainly done pugs, and someone always decides to take a shot at whomever caused the chain to start. And I’ll admit, I’m guilty of tabbing to a CCd mob, sending the pet in when i wanted to pull, drawing aggro from the tank, and all those. It’s how you learn. But come on, the bickering! You’d think we were in a BG or something!!!

Right now my quest log has about 15 dungeon quests in it – all with great rewards that I *really* want. I just don’t want to have to go through that bickering for it. :o(

So, right now I’m grinding rep and working on the cash for that epic flyer. Eventually I might get around to these quests, and if not… Oh well.

We were moments away from getting the 4th timed event done in ZA when one of our healers flaked, causing our tank (me) to perish. I had a total “Grrrrrrrr” moment, put my mic on mute and let the F-word fly lock a field of geese. Man, was I pissed.

I WANT MY BEAR MOUNT! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! lol
