In honor of the new theme here at Mania’s Arcania, this episode of Name That Pet involves Mazzranache, the famous pink flamingo.

I recently tamed the renowned ‘Mazzranache’ of Mulgore. I find this little Tallstrider quite adorable and humorous, but for the life of me, I’ve no clue what to name her. And, thus, I turn to you and your blog. Here is a pic of me and my buddy. :D

Incidentally, I am rather flooded with requests for pet naming help, so please forgive me if it takes me a bit to get back to you.
I always appreciate tough names for the more perhaps “gentle” creatures.
I would dub thee:
Buster
I say you name it Tuscadero as in “Pinky Tuscadero” for those of you who remember her from the show Happy Days. (Even though Leather Tuscadero was hotter!)
Candy, as in Cotton. Or ImWithStupid lol jk

Well personally I’d just call him Fabulous!
On a serious note, Candy and Bubblegum seem like great names :-D

Mine is named Chapstick (there’s a joke in there)
If you want the name nerfed (likely), you could go the pecker or some variation of that. My friend has one named Bubbagum, but he let poor bubba go a long time ago. Chapstick is actually suprisingly durable, and has managed to tank regular Black Morass (we had a pally and a disc priest as healers).
I get regular invites from another guild to Kara, and if Chapstick isn’t there it causes many a teary eye.
That and I love the screech =P Now they just need some special ability. I’m thinking a kick or something would be appropriate.
I vote Yardbird. 1) Reference to a great band. 2) Reference to those ugly plastic flamingos people put in their yard!

My vote is for the one up there who said “Tuscadero”. Might be fun seeing if some of the older folks playing the game get it.

Well, my mom’s hunter has this pet, and hers is named Smooch. She probably won’t mind if you use that name, hehe.
I named mine Floyd, though I can’t claim that name as my own idea. I <3 my Humar (BlackTooth) so I don’t think I’ll level him up. Feel free to use the name if you want.
I named mine Thumb, because he’s not a Pinky :D

I like a lot of the names here! You could also go for Ruby or Cici (American Flamingo’s species name is “Phoenicopterus ruber”, in the order Ciconiiformes).
Of course, being a Baltimore native, I’m tempted to suggest “Waters” for the director John Waters and his controversial black comedy “Pink Flamingos”. But I think even describing the film in chat would be grounds for a ban…
I’m thinking ‘Blush’, due to the colour, or something that makes me think of pink, like ‘Cocktail’ or ‘Rouge’. Then again, you’d get dumb whispers asking ‘Y is ur pet named rogue?!?1′ Just my two copper. :D

I’d have to name it Miami. First thing that comes to mind when thinking of flamingos is Florida.

My dwarf hunter has one named Wellington (cos its a wader…)
He also wears a pink mageweave shirt to match it. He looks the campest dwarf in Ironforge.

Mine is named Fabulous. Of course it doesn’t hurt to be the pet of a BE Hunter to make the name all the more fitting.
It seems everyone like Floyd, but that seems too common to me. Bubblegum seems cool, but by far the funniest is Thumb. I do everything for the comedy factor so that’d be the one I went with.
I used to have a Lost Torranche named Copernicus.
