I’m on Epic Dolls #19!
A couple of day ago I was contacted by the great ladies over at Epic Dolls with an invitation to join their podcast for an interview. I ended up taking up the entire episode talking about my pet obsession! It was a lot of fun to do — I had a blast talking to Leala and Haley and I’m really honored that they invited me — and hopefully I wasn’t too boring or long-winded. *grin* So go check out Epic Dolls Episode #19!

I really loved your interview. It was fun to listen to and also informative. Don’t stop doing this I am truely in your depth for Petopia it opened a whole new world for me (though I use it for a while now :))

nice interview , it sounded like you play as i do , the only instance i have run at about the correct level was the underbog and was with a group of people i trust and are in my guild , it was only 4 of us though 2 tanks a priest and of course my pet as the 5th man , pet died a few times i died once , a little of the oops feign death , heal , and oops to much agro as i pulled mobs off the priest and feign death was still cooling down , i must learn how to control the agro with my shots , but my 3rd pet now is a boar to see if it can hold off the agro i create at times .
the pet levelling as you said is a real pain, my sian-rotam was 60 now 64 its so slow going but at least most of the time holds agro and a snake trap a quick step back and mob dies , my other pet is a warp stalker at 69 so still need a little grinding but works fine i swapped my dragonhawk for a boar as although its a beautiful pet and works well i was having a little fun trying to target , i know i could have used a macro to cure that but since i re-discovered the fun of a boar on my alt decided to roll one on my main again
the grinding to level pets i know is a real pain , but as a skinner/leatherworker in outland with the poor drop rates on real leather instead of the scraps i usually get , it works in my favour , 5 stacks of scraps gets me a stack of leather and 5 of them gets me 1 stack of the heavy knothide leather , so i would be grinding anyway , i have been grinding the warpstalkers and the basilisks so get stacks of food i can sell when cooked and also the arakkoa as i am doing it just outside shattrath city , all the drops soon fill my bags so being close to a city saves me time , a quick post to an alt a quick restock on ammo/repairs if needed and back to grinding
most of the time now i have pet on aggressive mode and that is weird as it almost seems as if it depends on the pets mood or what type of mob is about as sometimes the mob gets to me before pet attacks and other times are miles away and i go running about after my pet then it will sometimes get a bloodlust ? and will not stop attacking everything in the area , its also odd that it seems to sometimes ignore a closer mob and will agro that as well and then keep swapping its attack on both mobs all good fun and takes away some of the boredom of grinding
i hope blizzard hear your comments and do something with the pets levelling as other classes when they summon a pet the pet is the same level as them , and as at 70 the pet trainer is useless to us they should be able to create something for a few gold that helps us
hehe i just had this picture in my mind of a 70 warlock trying to level a pet ,, summon pet , attack mob , oops dead , res summon pet , attack mob , oops dead , ect,ect ,,,
