Combined with the Sporeling Snack buff, the Mistletoe buff is actually quite a nice thing to have--I hardly ever have to use Mend Pet, even though poor Pigglesworth takes quite the beating. As for some research into pet health regeneration... perhaps the higher Spirit (and consequent HP regen) would be a reason to take a Caster-stat pet over a regular one? Just a thought.
