I’m going to be spending the next several days with family and friends, so I probably won’t be posting again until sometime next week … unless something interesting happens or I get the urge to say something. *grin*
In the meantime, I hope that all of you enjoy whatever holidays you celebrate to the utmost.
Before Patch 3.0, I would often get e-mails from twink hunters who wanted to change pets but weren’t sure how feasible that was. Unfortunately, it usually wasn’t very feasible. The problem was that if they were already at their chosen level (say, 19) and tamed a new level 19 pet, they still needed to earn XP to get its loyalty up — XP they could often not afford to earn if they wanted to stay level 19. And without loyalty, most pets had no skills.
Thank goodness the situation has changed! Of course, if you tame a pet lower level than you are, you may still need to level it some. But for twink hunters who are already at their peak level, they can at least tame a pet their own level and use it immediately, no leveling required.

RFC stands for “Request For Comments” — which basically means that I need your help (again!). I’m getting a lot of questions about the pros and cons of each pet family and in particular the pet family skills. But there’s no way that I really test all the pet families in every situation myself, so I want to hear about your experiences with them! (And yes, with 32 pet families this could take awhile.)
