Rotams for Alliance
Gettokiwi of Stormreaver wrote today to let me know that the quest “Shy-Rotam“, which summons Shy-Rotam and (indirectly) Sian-Rotam is now available to Alliance players as well as Horde players.
Previously if an Alliance hunter wanted to tame one of these gorgeous cats they had to find a helpful Horde player to start the quest for them — or hijack a Horde player’s quest. But now Alliance can do it for themselves! In addition, both Shy and Sian are no longer elite (although they do both still have a wicked fear ability).

[...] emote. (And as I mentioned in the last post, both Sian-Rotam and Shy-Rotam can apparently now be summoned by Alliance as well as Horde [...]
I, “Blackhunter” from Daggerspine, had also stated that fact too, in an E-mail to you, about the albino lion Sian-rotam.
Haha, and I camped out for Rak’shiri to get that rare pet model too, oh well… it seems to be oddly popular on my server, I think a lot of people camped out for him. Heehee.
Kristy: I knew I missed someone who told me about the roaring! Sorry about that. And you even clued me in before the patch went live, too.
Oh NOOOO,
Now everybody will have him. I want Sian for my own :p
greetz
shy-rotam spawned, got her down below 50%, she did an emote “shy-rotam roars out for her mate” but sian-rotam does not spawn. FD and reset shy-rotam. repeated a few times, no sian-rotam. abandoned quest and retried, no luck. opened a ticket and GM says not sure if sian-rotam still spawns. anyone know? i am alliance on Dentarg.
Same as me, summoned Shy-rotam and at 50% health Sian didn’t come, put in a ticket last night and no word yet
I really want Sian, I have the rake ever since I was lvl 10 or 12 and I’m lvl 61 and I want to have all lions for my pets!
Any Help?
checked the wow forums, seems like lvl 70′s cant get sian-rotam to spawn, but several lvl 60′s have tamed him.
I have tamed Sian 2 days ago as a lvl 70 NE hunter, summoned Shy and fought her until she summoned Sian. I killed her before taming Sian. Had to log out and back in after tame to show xp bar on pet though – that glitched somehow.
The fear ability is a bit of a frustration but not overly hard to deal with as a little luck you can drop a trap right after a fear that will give you enough time to tame.
Tamed Sian myself a few days ago(70 NE hunter). The trick is to not kill Shy too fast. If you have done the Wrangle More Rays quest a bunch of times, its easy. I had to get her to about 50% and hold her there for a few seconds, then she summoned Sian.
Currently finishing up the Winterspring area and i havent done this quest, Which is/are the quest/s that need to be completed so these beautiful, magestic creatures spawn? lvl 58 Galion, Zangarmarsh
