PTR 2.3.0: Reported Issues

Like all PTR testing, the current PTR has some … problems. But Hortus has been kind enough to post a list of the issues that Blizzard is currently looking into.

The big one, which was also brought to our attention in a comment from Celeglad: Hunter pets are lost when stabled.

(I didn’t actually lose my stabled pets, but they did duplicate very oddly and then disappear temporarily.)

Those wacky Test Realms!

  1. I keep getting amazed at the sheer number of things they keep breaking in each PTR! Things that, supposedly, aren’t being changed! Did any of you try to FLY in Naggrand on the PTR? :)

  2. Yeah actually I had no problems flying in Nagrand opposed to others who just crashed out of the sky next to me. But I can’t fly in Shadowmoon Valley for the heck of it. Others are able to dive into the Alliance Base to learn the Engineering Flying Mount Recipe from the NPC and take off again before being killed (yeah great idea of Blizzard to put the only one trainerr for it right into the middle of a faction base) – I can only ride there, which means I’m dead before I reach the NPC.

I still can’t fathom how as a designer you can “forget” that there might be Horde Engineers too and place the only available trainer into the center of the Alliance Base *mumbles angrily*…

  3. At least you guys can actually log into the test realms. I keep getting an error that kicks me out. =( Strainge thing is that it occures on both of my computers.

  4. I know this just happened to me on the Thrall realm, so it’s not just the test realms. I don’t know what I can really do – sit it out until they fix it? I feel it’s important to mention that I was using the “pet-stacking” technique (3 pets in the stable at once) so anyone else doing this beward. I hope Blizzard unlocks/fixes this sometime soon – I’d hate to think I just lost three pets because of a bug.

  5. Morgrimsson: That’s odd — as far as I knew, they fixed the behavior that allowed us to stack pets with Patch 2.2. Even when it worked, though, it could sometimes cause issues. Your best bet is probably to contact a GM for help.

  6. Mania: You’re absolutely right. I just thought I’d follow up and say if anyone else has the same problem, contact a GM and it can be corrected in a matter of minutes. All you have to do is give them the names of the pets you wish to keep and they remove the other(s) and your stable is back to normal. Good luck out there, and good hunting!
